New header/ Last Blog

I have changed my header, i think it looks heaps better than the original. Not sure what else i'm meant to be doing to this blog, so this is going to be my last post for this assignment. It took me a couple of goes before i actually liked my design , although it doesn't compare to others i have seen on Blogger/Tumblr etc.

Delicious & new background

So far, my blog looks horrible not the best colour thats for sure! At the moment i have created a delicious account, for more information in regards to editing a custom Blogger theme. I decided to make a theme in Tumblr (it worked out okay, but it went waa waa, so now i am back to Blogger)

I reckon Blogger is easier to use then Tumblr. I would recommend it for anyone who hasn't started their blog theme yet :)

Flickr

I recommend people sign up to the Flickr site so they can upload their own pictures (My header was created in Photo shop).

Header:

This gives the image a URL which is what you need to customize a blogger theme. Flickr allows you to add slideshows on your blogger which could be quiet effective as well.

Blogging services

So.. now i know a basic knowledge of how a blogging service works. I'm going to look at a few to see whether they compare to Blogger.

Firstly, I chose Wordpress, although it wouldn't upload my pictures :( therefore Blogger was the second option, this was because some students in class said it was easy to customize the layout....

Once upon time.....

I have listened to week 13 lecture and personalizing a blog theme looks simple... (as opposed to designing an entire website). In Blogger, you need to go to layouts than edit HTML.. make sure you download the original incase you stuff the new version up.

In the beginning- Research into blog development

I'm going to stray away from Grunge, which is what i've done in my website, to try something different. Something designer looking.. I've always liked this shape and it can be made in Photoshop which is even better;I want a black and white themed Blog, i had one similar in Myspace (ages ago) and always thought it looked better as opposed to a brightly coloured theme.
